To keep data safe and secure, there is a feature built into Site Manager that allows users to backup their data. The Backup Data Interface allows control over what specifically is backed-up (including whether or not to backup static settings and the CleanLink program itself).
To enable this function, the user needs to firstly navigate to Setups > B. Setups & Defaults > External Links and check the 'Backups Required' box before selecting the 'Exit' button.

Along the top menu bar there is a Home option and selecting this will take you to the following screen where you will need to select the 'Backup' option.

In the following screen, you are able to select from options that determine what data should be backed up

Allow me to choose which files to backup? - Once the Backup button is selected and this option is checked, you will be taken to a new screen as shown below and are able to select which data is to be backed-up.
Backup data only (not settings or programs)? - Once the Backup button is selected and this option is checked, you will be taken to a new screen as shown below and all of the data options will be preselected. The settings and programs relevant to Site Manager will not be backed up.
Exit system afterwards? - Once the Backup button is selected and this option is checked, you will be taken to a new screen as shown below. Once the Backup process has been completed, it will automatically log out of Site Manager.

All: This will ‘tick‘ all of the files so they are selected for backup Manual: If you change any of the ticked boxes yourself, this button will become active – denoting that you are manually choosing which files are to be backed up. Note, pressing this button in itself does not make any changes to the files previously checked for backup, but again, it denotes that manual changes may be made.
None: This will uncheck everything. Very handy if you want to have a clean slate before making some subsequent manual selections. Use this in conjunction with the sortable columns to help you find what you wish to backup.
Modified today: This will auto-select only those files that have been changed today. Note, you may need to toggle on the ‘Back me up' column after using this button, so that the files selected appear at the top of the list.
Modified this week: This will auto-select only those files that have been changed in the last 7 days. Note, you may need to toggle on the ‘Back me up’ column after using this button, so that the files selected appear at the top of the list.
Modified from this date: This will auto-select only those files that have been changed from the date shown to the right. You can change this date as required, and your choice will affect the display immediately after you move off the date field. Note, you may need to toggle on the ‘Back me up’ column after using this button / date field, so that the files selected appear at the top of the list.
Backup: This will start the backup process and place data in the specified folder as selected in the previous screen. The progress will show in the form of a DOS window and once is completed, a confirmation will populate reminding you which folder the backed-up data has been saved.
