Each Mobile device is assigned to a specific person. The information on sites and staff that is available to the user is dependent on the persons’ Managerial Hierarchy. e.g. A Division Manager will receive all the information for his division and an Area Manager will receive details of his Sites. Only Staff details of Grade 1 – usually ‘Type G - Gen Cleaning Staff’ are sent to the mobile.
In order to use a mobile device with CleanLink Site Manager, a communication link needs to be established with the Site Manager application. This is done via the CleanLink Web Server. A request for a link to a specific user is made from Site Manager by entering your Company Code and selecting an available (non-linked) user. From CleanLink Site Manager you then need to approve this link. This will create a relationship between CleanLink Site Manager, the CleanLink Web Server and the Mobile device. If you later want to issue this Mobile to another person, you can re-set it in CleanLink Site Manager and re-link the Mobile (see Adding a Mobile). Swapping the SIM card has no effect on the link; it is just a means of communication. The device's unique internal machine (MAC) number is used for the Link.
The Site must be present on the Mobile, before other site related items are displayed. The same applies for Staff. If a new Site is added just send a new Site list. Lists contain a fairly small number of bytes, but photographs can be large, so the Mobile can be set to only send photographs when synched to a PC with an internet connection.
Your Server polls the web server every 15 minutes to collect files, likewise when CleanLink Mobile is running on the device. The Device polls the web server every 15 minutes to exchange files. The Server can be forced to Get Data, and the Device can be forced to Send/Receive. Each time files are sent to the Mobile, they are placed in separate folders. Your server will wait 30 seconds after the last creation before it sends it to the web server.
